Our tenth original collaborative performance, Impermanence was entertaining, thought provoking and inspiring by inviting performers and audience members to reflect on the tension between holding on and letting go – a common human experience at the root of many exhilarating and/or painful events throughout life.
Impermanence had a permanent impact on hundreds of audience members. The show was met with incredible feedback - many called it the best Art as Action show to date. Thank you to everyone who attended for bearing witness to our Artivism and supporting Art as Action.
As a part of our outreach program to bring Artivism deeper into the community, several local non-profits enjoyed complimentary tickets to Impermanence, including: YMCA Breakthrough Arts, September School, Boulder County Arts Leadership Forum, Boulder County Arts Alliance, Colorado Shakespeare Festival and Attention Homes, which provides residential treatment, counseling and safe shelter to at-risk youth.
“The residents had a wonderful time . . . they enjoyed the variety of the performances and the subject matter. For a group that lives a life of impermanence, the show seemed to touch close to home for them. They absolutely enjoyed everything, but the dancing was what they talked about most following the performance. The dancing and the rhythm associated with the dancing seemed to intrigue their young minds. Thank you so much for this opportunity, it was great for our clients!” - Tawny Rogers, Case Manager, Attention Homes
